The
restaurant is surrounded from an garden and there is a fresh porch for
summer. Inside there is a spacious room for eating with a typical
fireplace for cooking the meat in winter.
The
restaurant offers simple dishes typical of the Tuscan tradition, in
which extravirgin olive oil and "odori" (onion, garlic, parsley, celery,
carrot, sage, etc.) are the basis of meat dishes, sauces and vegetables.
Our
cook takes special care in the choice of foods to cook, as she would in
her own home using vegetables coming from the family garden, meat and
wine coming from the local producers. Tarts and almond biscuits are made
at home, as are certain types of pasta.
D'ont
lose the farmer's crostonis, the picis and the pappardelles to the meat
sauce, the soup of bread, the wild boar in damp with the potatoes, the
duck in roast pig, the beans to the uccelletta, the cakes and the tarts
of the housekeeper besides so many other dishes typical of our country
with a good local wine.
